Ferrous Ascorbate 100 mg + Folic Acid 1 mg + Cyanocobalamin 7.5 mcg + Vit D3 1000 IU Tablet
10 x 10 Tabs
Iron deficiency anaemia.
Ferrous Ascorbate : Addition of ascorbic acid converts the ferric form to ferrous form thus making it absorbable from duodenum and upper jejunum, resulting in considerable enhancement of the absorption of iron. Absorption of ferrous ascorbate averaged 52% higher than ferrous sulphate in subjects with ID. (Marx et al., 1982), delivers maximum amount of ferrous iron to the duodenal brush border and at the same time produces minimum GI adverse effects.
Folic acid is required to maintain normal erythropoiesis and nucleoprotein synthesis.
Vitamin D3 : helps in bone mineralization, also decreases iron deficiency.
Cyanocobalamin : essential to growth, cell reproduction, hematopoiesis, and nucleoprotein and myelin synthesis.
Hypersensitivity, peptic ulcer.
Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Diarrhea, Abdominal Pain.
One tablet once daily.
