Rabeprazole 20 I.V. Injection

GI Disorder (Rabeprazole I.V. is an alternative in patients for whom oral administration of rabeprazde is not indicated).
Rabeprazole sodium : is a proton pump inhibitor. It is a prodrug. After administration it diffuses in to the parietal cell of the stomach and accumulates in the secretory canaliculi. Inhibits the exchange of extracellular K+ for intracellular H+ ion and thereby decreases gastric acid secretion.
Diarrhoea, Nausea, Headache.
Hepatic impairment, Monitor gastric malignancy.
Recommended dose is intravenous administration of the content of one vial (20 mg rabeprazole) once daily. Parenteral routes of administration other than intravenous are not recommended.
Storage conditions :
Store at 15 – 30 degree C.
